3 new 3D prints: part 3/4: The Corner Hat Shop

I had a hat shop in the past, but it was too big for my liking, the displays were not fancy and I needed the hats to posh-up Sylvanians, heheheh. But since, I have a 3D printer ...

Sylvanian designers did not include greys in their Town. I guess they just figured that kids mostly like candy colors. I beg to differ if it is done in an appealing way. Candy colors are nice, but even as a kid, I liked a lot more than those. I used all leftover grey filaments I had left to make the greys stylish instead of dull. So, here it is, my Corner Hat Shop! See my cute misprint squirrel leaving the shop!

I took pics of the floor detail before it was assembled, as this might not be really visible after. I used the same floor pattern as the newspaper shop.

I created a counter and furniture as well. Here are the hat stands before the dummy heads were put on. 

Fun fact: the dome design is made from an Easter egg model, and I used the egg model to create the dummy hat heads as well, lol! As you can see, they represent a few basic Sylvanian heads.

Some more pics to show each detail, before the shop was staged properly.  Some hats are actually 3D printed and embellishments were added.

    Great work! I agree that plainer colours can look stylish; colourful trimming or accessories adding a touch of brightness.

      @Adobong Manok: I use a mix of self-designed items and bought designs. Since I did not buy a liscense to sell them, I can't share the models.

What's left standing

Well, as our move to another country takes a lot of prep a few years in advance, some of my Sylvanian stuff is packed already.  My wooden theatre fell apart. It was glued so often, this time there was no repair possible. I have plans on 3D printing a fab one, but not where we live here. My bunny residence will also get a stunning new 3D printed dwelling. Their houses went to better homes. The furniture and inhabitants were well wrapped. The same applies for this setting as well: it takes too much space into a moving truck, so all the printing has to wait a few years. My rack with the moon crater movie set had to make room for moving crates, so it was dismantled and packed as well.  Not moving yet, but we already had 6 of those  large plastic garden pillow boxes  and as they were so great, we bought the last ones. 3D printed town building

Now that I can 3D print in 4 colors, it was time to drag out a free model I discovered to print. It had a lot of errors and needed repairs, plus I tweaked a whole lot to have a 3 level Town series building instead of 2 and added the signature retro window shades to it. It's empty for now as I did not expect to print it now instead of over 6 years from today. It is supposed to be filled up with my apple cider lab that I have, but as that's already tucked away nicely to move in a few years, I decided to just leave it like that. As for now, I pretend that the lab technicians haven't looked into the building yet, although they were looking for better accommodation, lol.
