Sylvanians invaded my house

Biggest and longest project so far  to design and print! Took me just over 1.5 year from start to finish! I do have another smaller big project coming up in a few weeks, with another vid. Since it's hot here, I will resume printing once the temp goes down, to keep the house nice and cool. Printing all day makes the house a tad warmer!  I have an even larger project coming up as soon as a new version of a multicolor printer comes out, hopefully by the end of this year. I uploaded my vid on Dailymotion, it was rejected because of copyright issues. Duh, all of it is made by me and there is no music! Just AI, sigh. My counter claim was rejected within a minute with the same copy/paste they always send when their AI detects "something". Made a small change and tried again, to have the same outcome. Not even a real person checks it. It was removed before the counterclaim was submitted!! Doing that was useless!  Reluctantly, I tried Vimeo, and it was rejected because of its size...

No more tech talk for this project! Assembly pics, yay! I had a few days delay in printing,  as  I had to print parts for hub as well, it has been warm and a printer does give off some heat, plus w e had stuff to do away from home, and I never print when I am not present. And, I was inspired to print extra items, lol. You know me by know! Could not resist, bwahahahah!  Almost done printing as we speak, time to finish decorating the lot, take pics, make videos and compile it all into 1 storyline vid. Part of the vid is already made as well.  Finding the right tree  color in a decent PLA filament  was a challenge . It had to look a bit like oak, and fit my existing Sylvanian forest. More tech talk, if you don’t like that, just look at the pic and wait till next blog to show the assembly.  By the time that I had to design a new tree, my Blender skills had improved due to another project I was nearly done with. I had an oak tree which I downloaded before I had the skills to sculpt it properly in Blender. It needed to be twisted, warped and corrected to fit the planned activity levels. I became much faster too to tweak designs by now. Within a week, despite that subtracting and uniting parts in Blender is utterly illogical to make it work, I had the design.  This is it at that point, I did improved it and cleaned it up after. It's a printscreen from the front in Blender. The base is really wide, which made it perfectly sturdy.  As you can see, it has more branches than the first model, so I added even more activity centers. Yay!  Instead of a spiral staircase like in the first design, which was too frail to print on a non-resin printer as support...

By the end of 2021, as soon as the Spooky House was designed, I was thinking of designing an awesome treehouse, as I love my big Old Oak Hollow Country Treehouse so much. 3D designing and printing is a long and slowly improving skillset, so I finally felt confident enough to pull it off, as I knew that this project would be yet another step up using the necessary skills.  As my own crafting skills decreased over the years  due to having MS,  even before I had Sylvanians, 3D printing brought back all that excitement!  I did not want a gigantic treehouse as a residence. There are plenty of treehouses as in "house" already. Plus, treehouses only have 1 to 3 rooms up to now, wayyyyy  unsatisfactory. I always wanted a tree, as a Community Centre, where everyone could meet,   enjoy an activity, chat and have fun! I wanted to give it all a fairy themed look and feel. My Sylvs are quite cheeky, so art with a twist just had to be it!  My hometown always had a section of medieval art in the catacombs under city hall. When I was little, not all of it was opened up. My dad would have loved to see all of it, as it's displayed now. As usual, memories of my dad get incorporated into JollyOaksField, so I had to have a small art house. Not medieval art, but mischievous art! I created plaques with text, to name the art works, though that will be hard to read on pics, so I will add the text of each for you to read. My dad and I loved to gaze at the music instruments in the music store of my hometown when I was a child, on our weekly walks if it didn't rain. I just had to include a music store in my town. Several instruments are 3D printed. Enjoy!

My sweet store was just big enough to have space for all my current sweets. I had expanded it to it's maximum depth and stability, as honestly, each display of sweets has a tangible weight to it. The empty displays are all shoe shop displays, the perfect fifties style for holding cakes and pastry. I figured I needed to do something drastic. I bought the Town Royal Hotel from a friend and it was perfect for what I needed. That said, still not big enough for future additions. *hides in shame* I bought 2 Town series lookalike boats, as the boat cabins can fit right into the Town as a side building. I designed a 3D floor slab to fit all levels, with a honeycomb tile floor. I had a tower dome left from another Town inspired rip-off series, which I kept for a few years now. The top floor slab was designed with slots where the dome and it's decorative front piece could slide into.
